TV season 2010-2011

Another fall season is coming soon. Most new shows start the week of September 20 this year. There were a lot of shows that I watched last season that either got cancelled, the show was finished, or I just stopped watching. Making up my plans for this season is smaller than it has been in years previous because of that, but I am interested in trying out more new shows to compensate!

I've enjoyed making these plans for many years now. (2009, 2008, 2007, 2006, 2005, 2004, 2003, 2002, 2001). Have you written a post about what shows you are going to watch this fall? Comment, I'd love to hear about it!

Chuck, NBC 8PM Monday (September 20, season 5)

A little surprised it got picked up again, but pleasantly so. I caught up on season 4 after it finished, so I'm all ready for new eps. The guest stars they are casting look to be quite interesting - Linda Hamilton? cool!

Kristine's Score: should

The Event, NBC 9PM Monday (September 20, NEW)

This is a promising new series, definitely up my alley. I like Jason Ritter (Joan of Arcadia). It has me wondering "What is the Event?!"

Kristine's Score: should

Chase, NBC 10PM Monday (September 20, NEW)

I saw the long preview and the premise is enough to get me to watch the first episode and see how it goes.

Kristine's Score: maybe

House, FOX 8PM Monday (September 20, season 7)

Last season was the first we watched in real time, catching up over the summer (2009). I enjoyed how the storyline progressed with the exception of one: The scoop that would make me more eager would be if Jennifer Morrison was back. But Amber Tamblyn (General Hospital, Joan of Arcadia) is an actor I've followed for a long time, and she'll give me some much needed Taub-relief.

Kristine's Score: should

Castle, ABC 10PM Monday (September 20, season 3)

Each season has made me enjoy this show more... Nathan Fillian and Stana Katic are a joy! The guest stars are also making the show more interesting, the casting has been super. Can't wait to see more!

Kristine's Score: yes

Hawaii Five-O CBS 10PM Monday (September 20, NEW)

The first preview I saw that I knew had potential. Daniel Dae Kim (Angel, Lost) and Grace Park (Battlestar Galactica) are great.

Kristine's Score: should

Tuesday8PM9PM10PM

No Ordinary Family ABC 8PM Tuesday (September 21, NEW)

I'll tape the first episode to see if it's an extraordinary comedy. I'm not really in the market for a new comedy to watch, but Julie Benz (Angel) is a favorite.

Kristine's Score: maybe

Running Wilde FOX 9:30PM Tuesday (September 21, NEW)

We watched Arrested Development just lately, so a show with Will Arnet seems promising. And Keri Russell? I'll try it! The preview wasn't as promising as the casting, though. And comedy has to be really good for me to enjoy.

Kristine's Score: probably

Wednesday8PM9PM10PM

UnderCovers NBC 8PM Wednesday (September 22, NEW)

The name J.J. Abrams had me convinced. The casting of unknowns has me a little concerned but the preview was superb. I am surprised it's NBC not another network. Can't wait to turn into this!

Kristine's Score: yes

The Whole Truth ABC 10PM Wednesday (September 22, NEW)

The casting here has me interested - lawyer shows aren't always my cup-of-tea, but Rob Morrow (Numb3rs) and Maura Tierney (ER) are both so great, I have to try. The preview does seem to have promise, seeing both sides of the legal story would be more unique.

Kristine's Score: maybe

Thursday8PM9PM10PM

Bones, FOX 8PM Thursday (September 23, season 6)

Of course! Been watching since the first season, and I'm nervous how it will start up after the ending from last season, but it is one of my favorite shows on TV. Hodgens and Angela yay, and bring back more Daisy...

Kristine's Score: yes

The Office, NBC 9PM Thursday (September 23, season 7)

Meh. I was disheartened last year when it started, and I'm even more so this year. I really don't care.

Kristine's Score: maybe

Friday8PM9PM10PM

Human Target FOX 8PM Friday (Oct 1, season 2)

Ohhh, one of the best new shows last year got renewed! It's in Fox's death slot, though, so that's not so great. Excellent stars, good guests. It really was campy in a good way, and the music from Bear McCreary (Battlestar Galactica) really elevated every episode. Hopefully it'll make it through a good half-season and be able to finish up the storyline a little.

Kristine's Score: yes

Red Hot, Must See TV! (4 shows): yes

There’s a big reason why I should watch (4 shows): should

Probably want to watch (1 show): probably

Maybe this will be good (4 shows): maybe

Midseason

V ABC (November, season 2)

I have 7 eps from last season waiting on my TiVo, but the first half was interesting enough that I'll go back to them and hopefully tune in when November comes around. Love Morena :)

Facing Kate USA (January, NEW)

I'm interested in checking this out, may be a good mid-season show. Michael Trucco (Battlestar Galactica) is a co-star.

Franklin & Bash TNT (NEW)

Mark-Paul Gosselar and Breckin Meyer? I just may have to try it.

Terra Nova FOX (May, NEW)

The Cape NBC (NEW)

A comic-book-y show including Summer Glau (Firefly, Serenity, The Sarah Conner Chronicles)! David Lyons (ER) looks good.

Leverage TNT (remainder of Season 3)

White Collar USA (remainder of Season 2)

Warehouse 13 SyFy (remainder of Season 2)
