dedication
Tomorrow, Leah is being dedicated.
The non-denomination church that Leonard and Sarah go to dedicates babies (rather than baptizing them), and our family (or at least E and me and Megan and Mom) are going to church with them. Even though we were raised in the Adventist church, L and S are more comfortable in this non-denominational church, and so I’m kinda interested to see how the service is different.
Of course, that means that I must get up early. We need to be there at 10:50, so we need to get up and get ready and eat something before that. I haven’t gotten up that early for a while, because I’m still on the funky sleep schedule where I can’t fall asleep until 3 or 4. Last night, it was 5. So I’m aiming for 2 tonight, we’ll see if it works. I should try and take my drugs earlier to make me sleepier, and see if that helps. (I slept until 12:30 this morning, and then went back to sleep for 3 hours this afternoon, if that gives you a clue how this funky schedule is going. LOL!)
My dad did bring home potatoes, so I’m totally looking forward to the first big potato meal of the fall. He has an amazing stand that he goes to while on the Seattle run, and they have beautiful giant potatoes for a wonderful price... he says that he came home with 300lbs of them this time (some for other people, though!) Its probably not the last time he’ll get them before thanksgiving, either.
I should go and iron my shirt now so that I don’t have to do it in the morning. Yeah, good plan. Or maybe I’ll just wear my yellow sweater over it. Even better plan!!
I’ll try to get some pics of Leah and me while we are all dressed up!
So that’s the story!
