This or That

This or That: The Media Edition
This was a fun set of questions this week! smile

  1. TV or radio? TV. I like to have it on for background noise while I’m at my computer.
  2. On the radio: talk or music station? Music. I’ve never been one for talk radio.
  3. Actual books or books-on-tape (or e-books)? Actual books. Something about the turning the pages is good. Plus, I feel like I can sit and read a book and its relaxing... if I’m listening to a book on tape, I get a bit figetty and have to find something to do while listening.
  4. Actual newspaper, or web version? Both have their merits. Looking through the headlines on actual paper is nice, but when I’m looking for real news on specific topics, online is easier.
  5. Wall Street Journal or National Enquirer? Ya know, I’ve never read either of those - cept the WSJ when I was in school and having to use it for school.
  6. TV news...news channel such as CNN, or your local broadcast news? Both are good, it really depends on what I’m watching for. I like the newscasters on our local station (NBC’s channel 8), and the Northwest News channel is good at times. For the nationwide news, I tend to turn on CNN.
  7. A movie you’ve been looking forward to seeing gets bad reviews all around. See it anyway, or pass? I may wait till video, but I’ll for sure see it at sometime.
  8. See movies when they first come out, or wait a few weeks for the lines at the theater to get shorter? Its so exciting to see them when they first come out!
  9. TV: cable, satellite dish, or just plain old antenna? Digital cable at the moment, but the digital box isn’t working, so its just plain cable!
  10. Thought-provoking question of the week: If you had to choose only one form of media to come into your home, which would you choose...print (newspapers, magazines) or electronic (TV, internet)? Why? Electronic. I can get everything I need via the Internet. If the print stopped coming, I’d miss it, but its not essential like the TV/Internet is to me!
