travel weather
So E called from the car, and wanted me to check on the weather over the pass because that’s were the snow was last time. Ugh, its not so happy—DOT for CA says:
THE OREGON STATE POLICE REPORT THE FOLLOWING UPDATE OF CONDITIONS ON I 5: CHAINS ARE REQUIRED ON ALL VEHICLES EXCEPT 4-WHEEL-DRIVE VEHICLES WITH SNOW TIRES ON ALL 4 WHEELS OVER THE SISKIYOUS

I guess they were going to go buy some chains and cross their fingers that they could get over the pass safely. Cross your fingers, too, would ya?
Edited 5:24—E called and they made it safely over the pass! Now for just the drive from Northern to Southern California. Yay!!

Glad he made it across safely. The Siskiyou Summit is often a pain in the ass to get across in the winter. Of course he’s always welcome to come stay with us if he can’t get across since we’re only 15 miles from there. {{{hugs}}}
