theme songs
TV Theme Songs Get Renewed Attention
Music has generally become a more important part of TV recently. You’re more likely to hear songs by well-respected artists the soundtrack for a given show, and several series use promotional spots at the end of an episode to tell viewers where to find a particular song.
Ahh, WB started this trend a few years back. Everybody else is just kinda following in their footsteps now. I love now that the shows are sharing who the artists are in the episodes - I have found some great new artists that way. That’s where I found Michelle Branch. And like I said the other day, I like theme songs. Some of my favorites are :
- Angel’s theme song - "Angel" by Darling Violetta
- Roswell’s theme song - "Here with me" by Dido
- Charmed’s theme song - "How Soon is Now" by Love Spit Love
Hmm, I’m sure there are more, but those are the ones off the top of my head

I remember when 90210 used to do that years ago. They would have a cool band at the club, and at the end tell you the album information. It was a great way to find new artists! I’m glad to see more people doing it finally.

Dawson’s Creek does it as well.
They even have a website devoted to the music used in the show and their promos.

Did you ever hear the theme song for The Dead Zone? It’s a song called New Year’s Prayer by Jeff Buckley and it is amazing. I put the mp3 up for download here.

i just love the rosswell song
and of course there are others like the friends theme and the vanessa carlton song on cold feet and on nz television they love to feature nz songs!

True amazingness of sci-fi songs in general. I adore the themesong to 'The Dead Zone,' although have any of you guys heard Jeff Buckley’s album 'Grace'? It includes a cover of 'Hallelujah, which is on the Shrek soundtrack, and is absolutely stunning. A must for all to hear.
Buffy IS fantastic, and am I the only person who knows the musical?

The Charmed Theme song is a cover of the Smiths "How soon is now?" You might like other Smiths songs too.

For the Buffy Theme, I think that version’s by the Nerf Herders. Other people are also doing their own interpretations.

oh ok. well I found a site on nerf herder which had the buf theme song on it for guitar tab so i used that cuase its a wicked cool song! its a bit different, seems shorter but still its cool!
I love the Angel theme song, its so different, it rocks!

I love the buffy theme! I love Buffy! Also i love the musical! Under your Spell, I’ll never Tell, RIP, Wish i could stay(Standing, under your spell reprise.), Walk through the Fire, and where to we go from here are my faves.

i know a lot of theme songs especially from the WB (CW)
like for starters 7th Heaven, theme; Gilmore Girls, theme; Veronica Mars, theme; One Tree Hill, Gavan DeGraw; Smallville, Remy Zero; Supernatural, Kansas; Charmed, Love Spit Love; Dawson’s Creek, Paula Cole; I can go on, on, on.... and if you haven’t got it yet the reason i know all of these songs, is either i knew before the show, or i looked them up on the computer and became my personal favorite of the month, or you should know i whatch way to much TV and still make good grades! any way that is my word. thanks!

the buffy theme song is NOT done by "atleast five different bands" at all. Were id you get this infomation? it is wrong.The buffy theme song is performed by nerfherder and thats thge only band.not to be mean cradle of filth wouldnt be able to play and note of this music
