desktop themes
On the same brainwave as my desktop post...
Anybody have good ideas for places to look for desktop themes? Last time I looked, I found nothing but sites full of old old crap with so many popup ads that I went dizzy!!
I would go back to using web blinds for the colors and shapes and designs of the windows, but it definitely slows other stuff down.
My very favorite theme that I’ve ever had was a *really* well done Simpsons one that said "Excellent" when things were done in Mr. Burn’s voice and had Maggie’s pacifier sound for hovering menus, and other fun stuff. It was a well done theme with a great background, good colors, nice icons, and recognizable sounds! I’ve had a few Buffy ones that I pieced together from other Buffy ones. And of course, I made an Ingo one back when I was involved in his group, and it was really nicely done if I do say so myself.
So what ya go? I know you people have wonderful links for this stuff that I just haven’t seen ;)

yes, i know of a very great place - called Love Productions. she has some very wonderful nature scenes, and my favorite is a lovely muted beige flower theme. heehee
seriously though, you might try http://themedoctor.com - he always seems to have very complete ones in a variety of categories

If you’re running XP then styleXP by TGTsoft is very cool. Lots of different themes for the whole OS.
