getting out of a job?
On my MSN homepage, I found a link to an article about leaving your job: Wait Not, Want Not
It suggests that you ask yourself the following questions:
- Do you enjoy getting up and going to work?
- Does your job completely drain your energy?
- Is your job furthering your goals?
If the answer to any one of these questions is no, it’s time for a change. "A lot of people hang around," Taliaferro says. "They wait for someone to make things better for them, to offer them a promotion or a better assignment. It doesn’t work that way. If you want something, you’ve got to get it yourself."
I could write more about what I feel about this, but I bet you could guess. I answered no to all 3 questions. But I also answered no to the questions "Am I able to leave" and that makes it cancel out the others, unfortunately. :sigh: Someday I’ll be happy. Someday, I’ll enjoy what I do for a living, whether its being a mommy or being out in the workforce or if its working from home as a designer/techie girl. Someday.

My answers to all three questions are no, no and no. So I understand how you feel. I’ve tried leaving, I’ve applied, gone on interviews, submitted references but I always come back disappointed. I’m going on three years of being disappointed. I’ve come close to quitting several times. (Like today.) I just don’t know where to go.
