sicky girl
how do you know that you are too sick to do anything? when your husband must have heard you sniffing all night and leaves a new box of klennex next to your bed when he leaves for work. That was yesterday morning, and I’m still icky sicky. Head cold extravaganza goin' on here. Piles and piles of klennex and drug wrappers in a path behind me from my bed to my pile of blankets in the office (which propped me up enough to work some yesterday).
Worst thing about being sick (besides the feeling in my head)? no baby cuddles for me this weekend. I’m guessing I got this bug from Leah last weekend when she was sniffling and sneezing, but not gonna chance giving it back to her this weekend in case its not her. I swear, people with CFIDS have the immune system of a 15 mo old baby.
So is it Feed a Fever, Starve a Cold or the other way around? I’m so hungry, I slept for like 5 hours after E got home last night, and so I didn’t have any dinner!

I always thought it was the other way around. After all, you’re supposed to eat chicken soup when you have a cold!

I was watching Golden Girls last week. Did you know that they had an entire episode devoted to CFIDS? Dorothy had it. All the docs kept telling her she was nuts. She finally found one that told her what she had. It made me think of you.
I hope you’re feeling better, and if not, I hope you feel better soon.

I think you should eat if you’re hungry - it’s your body’s way of telling you what it needs.
Also, if you have a fever, you should not wrap yourself up in blankets - you’re trapping in all the heat that is trying to get out, only prolonging the fever. I had never thought about it until Jason’s pediatrician told me that years ago, but it makes perfect sense - and seems to help!
Hope you’re feeling better soon!
