snowy!
The weather outside is frightful!!!

There’s at least 4" of snow outside, and its been there since mid-afternoon. Unfortunately, a lot of freezing rain came after that. So now the snow has a thick layer of ice on top of it. It looks trecherous. The tree branches are iced now too. Today was a record cold day (since sometime in the 70s) at 16° And people around here just aren’t used to driving in this weather!
Already, they’ve closed all of the schools in the area (today and tomorrow), and I’m hoping that E doesn’t go into work first thing in the morning. He only worked until 11 today because it was getting so bad out there.
So I’m eating warm foods and curling up in blankets with my boy. I’m not going outside again until it warms up

Brrr!!! Sounds like some serious winter weather! Definitely stay in and keep warm, but enjoy the snow when it stops!

I’m guessing you’re referring to Vancouver WA, but we’ve got that here too (in Vancouver BC). We had about a foot and a half of base snow from last week and the past 2 days, and then it started raining last night, so it was really awful out this morning. I got brave and drove to school, and the inside streets are bad but once I got onto the main roads it wasn’t too bad.

That’s pretty much the same up here now. My co-worker’s car was completely covered in ice and she couldn’t get in her car. My car was almost the same with the exception of being able to get in my car. Hopefully I can drive tomorrow!
