today stuff
We did a family dinner over here today, since mom’s been busy studying at home (she’s taking a condensed 5 week quarter for the 3rd quarter of A&P.) She came for a while, after visiting the cadavers to learn a few more things. Eeek!
So we had salads - pasta salad, potato salad, fruit salad, 5 cup salad (pineapple, mandarin oranges, marshmallows, coconut, and sour cream - 1 cup of each == 5 cup salad!) and bread. It all was great, and I tried a new version of prune fill with cherries, since I had a bunch of them. It was pretty good, too.
Then we sat around and played with Leah and chatted for hours - it was a ton of fun. Leah is just the most beautiful baby, and she’s so happy - she didn’t cry more than 1 or 2 times in the whole time they were here, and even when she did it wasn’t for more than 30 seconds. She’s still somewhat sleepier than she should be from her meds, but she’s gotten considerably more alert in the last week. I have some pics with her eyes open this time, and I’ll post them tomorrow.
Plans for the 4th are coming into play, and that’s fun. I really am having a great time being with Leonard and Sarah, Leah, and Megan - we have great fun together.
For the first time in days, I have the fans off in here - its only 64° now (at almost 2am), and its been quite a bit cooler today than the last 3 or 4. Phew! Looks like it will be in the 70s for the rest of the week instead of the 90s. Yay!!!

That recipe sounds good; does it work with fat-free sour cream?

Omigosh, that 5-Cup Salad sounds heavenly. I don’t know if it’s because I’m hungry right now or what.
I’m definitely writing that one down!

Hey, any idea how many servings are in that five-cup salad? I want to input the information into the recipe builder at Weight Watchers.
