Why Try to Out-Google Google? by Tara Calishain was a really interesting read 
Since I’ve been interested in search engines for a long time (I’m a born researcher; my mom says I read the phonebook and dictionary for hours as a kid!). I’ve never seen her site, ResearchBuzz, before, but its got some great stuff on it. Needless to say, I’ve added the RB feed to my newsreader, and will be keeping an eye out for more articles from her in the future.

I used to read the phonebook, dictionary, or encyclopedia when I ran out of books. My library would only let us check out 20 books a week, and it just wasn’t enough back then. We started using the central library for our city instead of our branch library because the main one didn’t have any book limits.
