Movie-speak is a great American male pastime, enjoyed by young and old alike. But, even so, few guys are as fluent as DePaepe. He claims to be able to quote nearly 37 movies verbatim, and there are about 100 more that he speaks a smattering of.

I’m surprised that this article didn’t mention some of the sci-fi movies that are quoted frequently. I mean, look at some of the episode of Buffy with Tom Lenk (Andrew) on them—he makes it a regular habit to quote Star Wars and Trek and more... and I think a lot of geeky guys are like that

Hee - a very good friend of mine can make an afternoon out of quoting The Empire Strikes Back along with the musical score - that’s quite a sight!

Matt is fluent in movie-speak. I don’t typically retain movie dialogue well, but I’ve picked up some of the lingo from him.

Andy is also fluent in The Movie Lingo. His favorite is, of course, Star Wars. Sometimes I wish I were more familiar with the series, because then I would get what he’s saying. As it stands now, they’re his own private little inside jokes...
