PRIDE acronym

From the people that brought me the self-help course I took at the end of last year, a new article is up. CFIDS/FMS Self-Help - The Power of P.R.I.D.E.

But I still found staying within my energy envelope was haphazard at best, until I devised a reminder. Writing down the five most important things I could do to make life better --Pacing, Resting regularly, keeping myself and others Informed, Delegating and making time for pure Enjoyment—I formed the acronym P.R.I.D.E. and stuck it on my mirror, a daily reminder that I could live my life so that health and self-esteem were not sacrificed.

What an excellent set of letters! Those things are really things I need to be reminded of on a regular basis. I really appreciated the whole article, it had specific examples of how the author lives within that guideline. I think I’m gonna make some postits and put them in places that I regularly look.

And on that note, I’m gonna go lay in bed and rest for a while. The sun is shining so brightly this morning that its coming in between the blinds and making my head SO not happy. Maybe that’s part of why mornings are so much harder for me now-a-days.

Kristine, I was reading my local paper the other day, and there was an article about the research of a Dunedin doctor.I just found an online copy of the journal it was publish in, so I thought you might like to check it out.There are quite a few interesting articles in that issue. smile

And I think everyone could do with a little more P.R.I.D.E! smile
