more ASH next year
ScoopMe! - "Buffy Fans to See More of Giles"
Anthony Stewart Head, whose character of Giles was missing from UPN’s "Buffy the Vampire Slayer" most of last year, will be back next season—in almost half the episodes.
That’s exciting news - I hadn’t realized how much I missed him until the season finale and then I was overjoyed to see him!

That is so great. I was excited when I heard he’d be having his own show on the BBC because I assumed BBC America would be picking it up. No such luck.
I’ve definitely been in Giles withdrawal. I hope he gets to sing some more.

That is good news! I was so surprised to see him in the season finale that I yelped out loud. I’m glad he’s not going away completely like David Duchovny did on X-Files; they had said Mulder would be in a few episodes but it seemed like none to me.
http://us.imdb.com/ReleaseDates?0289834 says that "Ripper" (the new Giles show) will be released in the USA in October 2002, but I’m not sure how they came up with that. I’d heard it was only going to be available in the UK (and possibly Australia?), but I’d love to see it here!
