first CD burned!
I finally found an mp3-wav converter and made my first *real* mix CD. I even made a CD label to go with it, even though my printer sucks and didn’t QUITE feed it right.
My sisters are driving their cars to Longview tomorrow for normal service (dad doesn’t trust his hondas to just any service place!), so i’m burning them copies to take with them in their cars.
wanna know what’s on it?
Alanis Morrisette - Hands Clean
Natalie Imbruglia - Wrong Impression
Dixie Chicks - Wide Open Spaces
Jonatha Brooke - Ten Cent Wings
Michelle Branch - Everywhere to Me
Liz Phair - Flower (thanks to Bethie who introduced me to nasty songs LOL!)
Joydrop - Beautiful Like You
Natalie Imbruglia - Bubbles of Love
Tara MacLean - Divided
Natalie Imbruglia - Satellite
Jonatha Brooke - New Dress
Fiona Apple - Fast as you Can
Nelly Furtado - Turn out the Lights
Britney Spears - Overprotected
No Doubt - Hey Baby
Melissa Ferrick - Drive
Nelly Furtado - Shit on the Radio

Sounds good I’ll be happy when I can make a CD that’ll play in my CD player rather than just an MP3 player.

i don’t know why i never told you this before, but i think that MusicMatch is the best for burning cds. it does the conversion and has a nice interface and it’s really easy. it also has the printy option for the covers and will print out a song list for the back cover. it’s way nice.

Nice CD. Based on some of the artists, I’d suggest checking out Sarah Harmer as her album You Were Here is great record. As for MusicMatch, sigh, well it does make it easy to make CDs but it also has the annoying tendancy to try and lock down all of your file associations and there are better mp3 encoders. But the nice thing about making CDs is there is more than one way. One can use Winamp, there’s even a burning plugin for it, and something like Easy CD Creator, or trade initial ease of use for more control with a combo like Exact Audio Copy and LAME.
Oh BTW Winamp will convert mp3s back into wav files which can then be used to make audio CDs.

I’d recommend Nero over MusicMatch. I hated MM and uninstalled it. I haven’t had any problems with Nero at all.
