If you’re like me, you probably save all of your downloads on your desktop. This can create an unruly mess of icons and random executable files.
Ahh, yes, the delightful desktop mess Every once in a while, I go through my desktop and sort it. Right now (at home), I have an assortment of font files that I downloaded yesterday (although I did take care of most of them), bookmarks to a bunch of personality info for the tests like ISTJ because I have a project I want to work on, the downloads of a couple of stat analyzers I found this morning (none of them are good yet), bookmarks to some files that need to go into my reads list, multiple psd files with new sets that I haven’t cut up yet, an MT directory with all of my various version numbers of MT... AND, like the aforemented article suggests, I have a download directory that I keep all my downloads into

if by stats program you mean a tracker type thing, http://www.xav.com/scripts/axs/ is a really good one i’m using for my journal. lots of good info on IPs, referring page, and browser stuff.
