rodeo, games, and stuff
Friday night was our family’s trip to the Rodeo - Leonard got all 8 of us tickets. I had never been to a rodeo before, so it was kinda fun They started off the show with a prayer, and I was very interested by that - and then they invited everyone to their church service yesterday. It was kinda cool, so I did a bit of research to see how religion and bull riding went together.... I mean, its a good match, because wow, what a dangerous sport, and how super important it would be to work together... and it really seemed like they were all such a team—they weren’t competing against each other, just against the bulls. Yes, so it was a fun time with my family, even though dad decided we should take the MAX and it was FREEZING outside!!! Dad took us to Applebees afterwards, too, and that was fun Of course, I was super tired by the end of the night - we didn’t get home until almost midnight!
E left yesterday for his 2nd weekend in CA with the guys. He was really excited - all of his friends are getting together at his friend Greg’s (and Meg’s) apartment for the weekend to play games and have fun. These are all such cool people, and I know they’ll have good happy fun. They’ll have a pile of games to play, I’m sure of it - they love those complicated board games like Wizards of the Coast has; E just got the Lord of The Rings Board Game game and Risk 2210, and the guys have a lot of other fun stragegy games. So E will be down there until sometime on the 1st.
So I spent a good portion of the day yesterday catching up on my sleep - almost all morning, and then I alternated between napping and trying out E’s bday present: Civilization 3! So far, it seems like lots of fun. So was the sleeping
I woke up about an hour ago thinking that I heard a funny noise - but I think it was just in my dream because I went all through the house and nothing was doing anything but sleeping So I was awake enough to type, and I can’t believe that I didn’t say all of this yesterday!! In fact, that was my last thought as I was drifting off - how did I not post anything yesterday? I guess sleeping got in my way :giggle:

glad to hear you had such a good time at the rodeo. i had a hard time watching the calf roping the first time i went to one. it was so sad to see those little calves get treated that way.
