addition of Skins
Yay!
Some of you may have noticed over the last few hours, I’ve been making some changes to the site. You should all see my original grey and color css style sheet for right now. BUT, you have an option to pick how you want to view the site.
Visit Skins so you can see the options. I have two new skins and two old skins, but I also have some grand plans of adding more I created the Seasons of Change set this weekend and I really like it
I’ve been staring at the screen for 4 hours now, getting the coding written up, editing the templates for greymatter, making my css files match in class names, and testing extensively before even making it viewable. And I had at least that much time the other day working on it. But I think I’ll enjoy this quite a lot. What do you think? What would you like to see a skin made of? I need to do some cross browser testing tomorrow (but I deleted all my copies of browsers when I reformatted this last month) to see how its working in Netscape and Opera, but I’m pretty sure it doesn’t break in those browsers.
Thanks to Domesticat for her delightful and super-helpful tutorial (I need to write her in the morning and let her know how much I appreciate it!), and special thanks to Zalary for getting me excited about learning more php again
Now its bed time for me and my fuzzy head. I have a bit of a headache, which probably is because I woke up way early this morning, and didn’t have very much caffaine or liquids today. Oops. ;)
So yea, let me know what you think! Thanks

Love the skins! I wish I had motivation to do this on my site. I just can’t find it. Anyway, love the fall design ... that’s the skin I’m using.

Kristine, it looks great! I love the fall one. I’m trying to do this to my site, but Caleb only lets me sit down at the computer for about 15 minutes at a time, so it’s going to take me 12 years!

I’m glad you found the tutorial useful! It never ceases to amaze me that skinning - something I always assumed I was the only one that wanted to do - has turned out to be something that other people want to do, as well.
It _does_ take work to get a site ready to skin. Congratulations - on making it through, and not giving up. It gets more fun from here!
