Between shows tonight, E was flipping and saw a video that I really liked. I hadn’t heard the song before, so I googled it to see if I could find it just from the lyrics. Sure enough, its a band I haven’t heard of, Evanescence. The song was Bring Me To Life. Its kinda a bit like a few of Linkin Park’s songs, but with a girl lead singer. I liked it!
I’m gonna have to see if I can find any of these songs later on :music:

I like that song too, I think it was even on the Daredevil soundtrack. Sometimes it takes a movie for a band to be known.

it is on the daredevil soundtrack. the guy in the song was a managment add in. he isn’t part of the band. :music:

Good tune, just a warning the rest of the album isnt like that song. It’s more goth/metal like Nightwish, Lacuna Coil, The Gathering type feel ( i know i know, you just said "who??")

Aren’t they great?! I discovered them last week when we went to see the movie Daredevil and just fell in love with the sound of Amy Lee’s voice. I bought the CD the next day and I love it. My favorite song is "My Immortal." Quite possibly the most beautiful song I’ve ever heard in my life. If you want me to send you some songs, let me know. I downloaded quite a bit. That song has been the most-requested every day on my local alternative rock station (WHFS). I heard it for the first time the other day, and was really surprised to hear a female singer on that kind of song. It seems so out-of-place. But I like it!

Evanescence is my new guilty pleasure. Their songs have a strong-ish christian undertone as well. Listen to Tourniquet.
Lookup their performance on Leno from a while back on Kazaa, it’s great

the CD doesn’t come out until April 1. And it’s difficult to find mp3’s without clicks. It took me 2 full weeks to download the whole album.

I’d heard Bring Me to Life, but I hadn’t bothered following up on the group until you nudged me with this entry.

Evanescence is the greatest rock band ever! Their lyrics are awsome since they are spiced up with dark rock and stay in your head forever. Their song Anywhere is my favorite song
and I hope everone enjoys their music as much as I do. ^ _ ^ Can you believe Amy Lee is 20? She doesnt look it
