The hippie period of the Web is over
"Just like the Sixties, the Nineties are over. From free love to free information, it was all quite a ride. But that was then, this is now. The Web is growing up. It’s time for definition, time for metrics, time for standard processes."
Kind of an interesting comparison between the prevailing trends in the eras. Free "hippie" info is still out there on the web, its just not as prevalent. Maybe we just need to have standard processes for the free things on the web, and that will make us come into the next era
