Mayor proposes sweeping changes in rebuilding downtown
In his first major speech on lower Manhattan, Mayor Michael Bloomberg yesterday shook up the debate, calling for a greater sense of urgency in redeveloping the area and challenging the proposed replacement of the vast underground mall and all 10 million square feet of lost office space on the site.
This was a really interesting article - seeing the Mayor’s suggestions and drawings was kind of encourging that not only will the WTC site get rebuilding, but the whole area will be re-worked.
