Portland is tops "Money Magazine calls Oregon city America’s best place to live" Ya know what’s even better than living in Portland? Living on the Washington side of the river, within driving distance to Portland - WA residents don’t have property taxes like Oregonians, and Oregon stores don’t charge sales tax. So if you live on the WA side of the river, don’t pay the huge property taxes, and shop on the OR side of the river, its great! I have yet to see what will happen to taxes when one member of a family works in Oregon and the other in Washington, but come April, I’ll find out <.g>
