mt: converting php
Changing over to PHP inside of MT:
- make sure your host allows PHP
- Go into the Blog Config under Preferences. Scroll down to File extension for archive files and type
php
(no . before) in the box.
- Go into the Blog Config under Archiving and make sure that if you have any Archive Filenames set, you change the extension of them to .php.
- On the Template screen, you’ll want to get into your Main Index Template and Master Archive Template change the Output file to be index.php and archives.php, respectively.
- Rebuild All.
- Log onto your server with your FTP program and delete index.html, archives.html and any archives in your archives directory that are .html - you don’t need these anymore.

Is it really that easy? Soothe my fears before I try it...

For anyone considering it - This was a breeze to do!
Now didn’t I see somewhere on how to modify a .htaccess file so all of other peoples references to my files don’t break? That’s the part that I’m looking for now... Thanks!
