On Facebook this morning, Shalom Mama posted an interesting prompt:

kadyellebee: real food obstacles

What's your biggest obstacle to eating a real food diet?

Real Food is generally defined (at least by 100 days of real food) as things found in nature rather than a processing plant. My reply to the prompt?

this is a very good question. I started to answer a little bit ago, and realized I wasn't actually sure what was stopping me. I think that I need to do more research and planning on what a real food diet looks like for ME, and then put things in place to get started. thanks for the prompt!

It certainly kept me thinking throughout the day.

And then I remembered a blog post I started writing earlier this month on the very topic and never published! That would be likely why it was so familiar. ;)

From giggly geeky crafty girl to giggly geeky mindful crafty girl, I am working on a transformation.

Many of you know that I have had fibromyalgia and chronic fatigue syndrome for over 10 years. This has brought with it waves of sickness and health, some years better than others. This made being active more difficult, and combined with other factors, I put on weight early on in my diagnosis and then a little more as time went on.

For the last 4 or 5 years, I have tried a variety of weight loss plans to get healthy, with no success at all. Finally, hope has glimmered. I am taking control of my health, and this is making me more mindful in many of the areas of my life! I'm looking forward to sharing some of the details here on my blog (and the blog has gotten a makeover in honor of these plans!). I'll be talking soon about what mindfulness is to me, my progress and how I lost the weight, and I plan to start talking about my meal plans too.

Thanks for joining me in this exciting time. I'm excited to start documenting my life here again. :)
