This book covers a lot of years, and a lot of developments in the family. From the birth of Arnie, Luke, and Ellie to the adoption of Nandry and Clae, all the way through till Missie's engagement.
I love the details in this book. So much family history is built up in this one, and that sets a firm foundation for the 4th book on. (the 3rd is almost its own story.)
