The assult of Hank into Amanda's life on the Ranch in 1913 California was an abrupt change from her reserved life. He could see that there was more below the surface than she showed, and was determined to show her that she didn't just have to be prim and proper. Amanda's fiancee Taylor had controlled her life up until now, with schedules and plans. . . and Hank wasn't about to watch this happen while he was around. This was a fun book, and I read it fairly quickly because it was one I hadn't read yet.
