choosing a skin
I’ve just made it more difficult to pick
For the last month or so, I’ve been wishing for a new design. So I’ve played with graphics and CSS, but nothing really was jumping out at me. So I finally decided to just offer them all up as options.
Here’s what’s you might want to check out...
- The default skin if you haven’t chosen something is new; a simple white and gray look with soft fonts and works on all the browsers I tested it on.
- Basic Green was meant to be the new default skin (until I came up with the white and gray design!). Its really nice and basic, with less sidebar info and a focus on the content instead.
- Money is my new favorite, based on a blogstyles option that was based on a Blogger default. A whole array of colors are up for your viewing pleasure.
- Pink and Green floral has a pretty flower border between the columns.
- SuperGoddess was inspired by the Superman logo, but with a lot more pink!
- Silver Gradient was the first of this series of skins I worked on, and even though it is pretty darn sleek, I fought with it a lot before I got it looking that way. Still, its pretty cool!
- Mellowcreme has been brought back for your October-pleasure
- Several of the older skins are getting to be too hard to keep up for all the browsers and my ever-changing sidebar content; the Black and Red Kadyellebee, Painted Angel, and Bubbles of Love are all in this category, as is the lavender Story skin. They all still work right now, but probably in the next little while or next skin changes, I’ll take them down all together.
- The two grunge skins (Silver and Purple and the Tulip) are always popular when I ask what people like, so they are still around, as is the original CSS Boxes, which I can’t get rid of because it has such sentimental value! And my favorites for most of this year, Trading Spaces-inspired and Rounded Edges are for sure staying around.
You may also notice the new addition of the Express News sections. For the last few weeks or so, I’ve been using this category as a catch-all for my linky-ness—putting quick notes with cool links that really aren’t worth a full journal entry. Each of the (newer) skins has a different format or look for these entries, through the magic of a lot of plugins. There’s still a space for commenting, but it takes you to the lovelinks page where the Express entries are officially archived.
Do let me know if anything looks good or bad Nothing has been tested on Macs, and my browser of choice is Mozilla Firebird, so they all work there
now "to bed, she said!"

They’re all so beautiful! It’s hard to choose! I do have a few personal favorites though: Silver Gradient (LOVE this one!), Mellocreme, and Pink and Green Floral. I’m having a super tough time choosing between Silver Gradient and Mellocreme as my default skin of choice right now. Your talent for this astounds me girl. Seriously. {{{hugs}}}
P.S. I chose SG! And I’ll alternate with Mellocreme in honor of my most favorite month and holiday.

I come here just to marvel at your CSS skills...and now you’ve done it again! My favorites are the SuperGoddess and the Silver Gradient! Super Goddess is my default now!

Nice work! I’m using the new default, and I tred to use "Money" because I think that’s a reminder of my old BlogSpot design (ah, the old days), but the stylesheet isn’t getting picked up - no matter - there’s a lot of other lovely goodies! Have a great day!

You really have made it harder to choose a skin here! I’m trying out Silver Gradient for now, but I have a feeling that I’ll be switching back and forth between all of them over the next few days. Awesome work!

These skins look amazing. Have I mentioned how much I love your style? I adore it. I picked the default, the colors look great (I have a skin using some of these colors coming up) and it’s so clean, I love it. Money is great too, I might have to alternate. Great job!

I like all of them, they’re such beautiful skins! I’m using Pink and Green floral right now. I can’t get the Money stylesheet to load, either. I’m using IE but I’m going to try it again in Mozilla later.

I love Super Goddess. Unfortunately, your site does NOT like to remember me. I can’t keep a skin or my info in the comment box.

Dang, I’m so jealous. All of the layouts look great, but my favorite one is the Pink and Green Florals. It’s really cute. Keep up the good work.

Wow, Kristine, you have totally outdone yourself this time! I’ve avoided the trouble of choosing a favorite for at least the next month - I went with Mellowcreme (now I want candy corn!). I don’t know what I’ll end up picking in November, though! Way to go, dear, they’re beautiful.
