fibro tips
I get daily tips from Immune Support, and today’s were from Taking Charge of Fibromyalgia. I think that’ll be a book I’ll have to read
- Take frequent breaks throughout the day to change positions. If you’re sitting for a long time at your job, in a movie theater, in a plane or car, get up, move around, and gently stretch.
- A very hot bath once or twice a day can work wonders to give you temporary pain relief and relax your mind as well.
- Take your favorite pillow along on trips. It will save your neck!
- Check muscle tension throughout the day - are you tensing your shoulders, holding your breath, or clenching your teeth?
- Keep a back pillow (lumbar support) in your car to relieve tension when driving. You can buy specially designed ones or place a rolled-up towel between the small of your back and the car seat.
The weird thing is that I’ve been noticing the muscle tension thing over the last few days even before reading this - I’ll be laying in bed and realize I’m clenching my teeth at the soreness, and I really need to relax and take a deep breath. And I definitely have to pay more attention to the other tips as well.
