quake miniseries

Have I mentioned lately how much I enjoy disaster movies? I don’t know WHY, they freak me out a whole bunch, but for some reason, I can’t help but watch.

NBC’s Quake Miniseries Adds to Cast

Several prominent actors have signed on to NBC’s miniseries "10.5," which depicts a huge earthquake hitting the West Coast.

My favorite Earthquake movie ever is The Big One: The Great Los Angeles Earthquake (1990). It had Joanna Kerns (Growing Pains) and Dan Lauria (Wonder Years) on it, and those were two of my favorite shows at the time (I believe they were both still on then.) And it scared me so much - but when it was on again, I watched it to try and make myself not so scared.

So of course, I saw this new one talked about on Zap2It, and I couldn’t help but be a little excited and scared already laughing

Ahhh great, something ELSE to freak me out. Although, knowing me, I’ll watch it. And it’ll cause me to buy & wear a hard hat at all times. I’m paranoid like that. Grr.

I like them too. I remember watching one a while back about lava trying to overtake Los Angeles or something, and it was pretty cool. I guess I like them because they’re cheesy in a way, but also semi-realistic. I’ll have to keep an eye out for this series. ;)
