Hartnett Says He Turned Down Superman Four Times
Aside from avoiding superhero films, the actor also says he’s not interested in doing any more teen roles.
"Well, the reason for that is that you can get stuck in the heartthrob thing and I try not to play that up. There are a lot of guys who ride that and that’s fine for them, but I want to find serious roles, and I want to be a serious actor and I think that I am, and I want my career to resemble that," he says.

I think he’s going in the right direction if he wants to avoid teen movies - Pearl Harbor, and now Hollywood Homicide. But he sure was good in Faculty, despite his desire for no more teen roles!
