PromoGuy’s Monday Mission 3.16
Some good thought provoking questions...

  1. Now that the weather (in America, that is) is getting nice and warm, what have you been looking forward to doing the most? Well, I think that the most exciting thing to me is that when it gets warm, my sisters are out of school and around more. :sunshine: It’s nice to have the warmth of the sun, but being light sensative makes it harder to enjoy the brightness.
  2. On Easter, I had to run around all day visiting family. It turned what was supposed to be a special day and turned me into one big stress-ball. Do you enjoy spending time with your family (parents, siblings, etc.) or do you prefer to see them now and then? Yes, I do enjoy spending time with them. I miss seeing them now that I’m not working with them, but it makes the times we do see each other even nicer. Its great to have Leonard back involved in family things; its a blessing in itself to have him at dinners and chatting again.
  3. Did your parents play along with the whole "Easter Bunny" legend? Did you eventually figure it out or did someone tell you? How did that make you feel? I think that when I figured out the Santa thing, I figured out the Easter Bunny and Tooth Fairy at the same time. I felt cool that I knew a secret, being the big sister, even though it made it not as much of a surprise.
  4. This isn’t necessarily a religious question (although it certainly can be if you’d like), but what does "Easter" mean to you personally? As a general rule, Adventists don’t celebrate Easter as much. I think that its because they think that the resurrection should be celebrated all the time, not just on a specific day. So anyhow, it always meant a family gathering, at least. My mom has always been creative with our Easter baskets; getting something other than a basket to put a small amt. of candy and pens or other assorted things. We’ve gotten tupperware containers, special boxes, and this year, giant mugs.
  5. When I was a kid, we didn’t have plastic Easter Eggs (except for those that came with Mom’s L'eggs pantyhose), so we always hid real eggs. One Easter I remember I threw away a broken egg in my bedroom trash can and it took me weeks before I realized why my room smelled like something died in there. Do you have any funny or memorable Easter stories? I remember a year that we went to a friend of the family’s house for easter, and they had a GIANT easter egg hunt. They had a beautiful property, and we searched forever for all the fun stuff, and each of us got little easter baskets made out of green tinted popcorn with candy in them.
  6. I currently watch way, way too many TV shows. In fact, I feel some relief that some are being cancelled or are ending because I just can’t give any of them up. Is there anything you do too much of and just can’t stop? TV shows are definately a weekness of mine. I tried to stop watching Soaps, and suceeded for a few years, but now I’m back at it....
  7. Long ago, I took a leadership seminar. At one point the leader gave his philosphy on life: the three things that matter most in life are "your family, your religion and your job, and what they mean to you." Would you agree? What are the three things that matter most in life? love (romance and family), doing something (job or hobby) that is fufilling, and laughter. If I have these things, everything else falls into place.
