I've had this in process all day!
I feel like I haven't been a very good consistant weblogger lately. With my server down, it takes a bit more time to get in and type a post manually and have the time to upload it and everything else. I'm enjoying using php more, for my own enjoyment, but I'm looking forward to having my real journal back. I'm sure that my lack of bloggyness will change when its as easy as right click and post again! :-) I've also been really bad about replying to my mail. I have so many notes that are marked as new because i want to take the time to write back. I feel like a bad friend.
I got to watch last nights Buffy. For some reason, they decided to start with this last season on Sunday nights at 8! So I watched last week (ep 2: The Real Me - sibling rivalry with Dawn), and this week (ep 3: The Replacement - Xander is split in two), and it was nice :-) I am suprised to see Riley. . . it seems like so long ago that we had him, but it really was just mid-season. I just love the show. I can't wait until it starts the old reruns on FX. I don't know where in the sequence of things the Wednesday episodes are one, either. Its all 5th season, though. Get your Buffy news here...
Its gonna be a warm day. I should have worn shorts! I miss updating my stortropper. Especially when I know how much it amused Trish and Rina :-)
Are you reading Lee's weekly themes? If you aren't, you should be. Last week had the great topic of marriage. I really enjoyed the posts, since I'm happily settling into married life. Watching Lee and her continuing passion for her husband after the years together makes me look forward to many years to come with E :-) I'm looking forward to the new format that Lee is coming up with, too :) She's on my must-reply-to-email list, too!
This was a sick weekend for me - the worst cramps I've had in forever (saturday) and a migraine (sunday evening-this morning), all in one weekend. So poor E, he fed me and let me rest and play. But we did get some cleaning done. Our house looks so nice when its clean. I feel so happy in my house. Its beautiful and homey. It needs more decoration, but its coming along. Come and use my guest bathroom - its SUPER cute :)|
Khara and me are so anxiously awaiting the news from Cheryl! Oh, I just went over to visit, and there's news!!!!! Yea!! Caleb Andrew. What a nice name :-) 22 hours of labor is a whole lot more than I would have ever wished on anyone, though... I was close with my guess of July 8th; but it looks like Kandee was closer :-) I'm just SO excited for Cheryl and Schaun. My thoughts are prayers are with you and your family today on this joyous event! :-)
I've been enjoying reading the Silver Ingrid boards lately. I'm lurking, though, because I've made several posts that I felt bad about - this is such a tight knit group, and I can't pretend to be a part of it immediately. So I'll lurk a bit longer and see if its something I can break my way into. I'd like it to be because they have some amazing topics. I'd like to be cheeky with these girls; they are so sweet to each other.... we'll see if I can every be like them. If all else fails, I'm feeling much more comfortable (and like I've being an active part of) the cyber-crew boards. The pixelitas, to a certain extent, too, but the cc boards are great. I love it when I'm knowledgable enough to answer the questions and people actually reply :-)
Carol is green :-) I like the new design, its really simple and classy. Just like her :-)
Like I mentioned the other day, I am helping my sister with her class schedule. This afternoon, we faxed in a new copy to the admissions office. They decided that Anatomy and Physiology, Intro to Chem, and Human Nutrition, along with College writing and Self Defense was too many hard classes. So I think she's gonna take out the Human Nutrition (which she has to take sometime before next year) and put in one of her required Bible classes. I didn't get much out of the Bible classes I took up there. I did take a class on Ethics and remember my contrary view on jewelry from much of the rest of my class. That's the first time I remember taking a stand in a non-business class for my believes. Give me a topic I'm passionate about, and I'll argue. I just don't have so many topics like that to argue most of the time. I was inspired by one of my teachers who opened my eyes to a new realm of thought about religion. I think it was his openness that made me realize that it was okay if I didn't do exactly as my parents did regarding church issues. I know who I am and what I believe, and even if I don't regularly attend church, I still am a good person. I don't know if that's what his goal for his students would have been, but it gave me some peace. I wish he was still teaching so that Megan could enjoy him. She looked at my loan sheet today and proclaimed - "Do you know what a nice car I could buy with that much money?!" She's almost appauled at how much I spent. But I learned so much and came away feeling like a different and more mature person. Scholastically, I enjoyed the experience. Socially, I liked the friendships I made. Professionally, I learned what I enjoyed and didn't enjoy about my profession. And Personally, I found a husband who has the same background as me, and that was important and an amazing find. So the overall experience was worth it to me. Does that make sense to you?|
|Jenn picked my site as her Aortal site of the week. I'm so honored! That's really neato :-) I have several sites I'd like to mention, but I really want my real journal back to do it in. But neverfear, I will add some great links when I'm back up and running :)
What happened to Stef's page? I'm sad that its not coming up....
I need to do some updating to blogplates tonight. I've also been working on some more basic css powered blogstyles (oh, I just made that word up... I like it!) that I'd like to offer. Maybe directly from the blogplates page. Since they wouldn't be customizable (meaning: only linkware, no shareware), it wouldn't seem to be a conflict of interest to the ring. We'll see. I need to post some updates to the forums and change the members page a bit, and I think I have a few new users to add. Oh, and some users to reply to. Oh, wow, I haven't checked my mail barely at all during the whole afternoon. Oops *g*
Since this post has taken me all day to write (I've had 10 minutes here and 5 minutes there), I suppose I better end it here - the day is almost done. Hugs and kisses, friends!
